About
The Santa Marta Transition and Financial Stability Group (SMarT FSG) emerged from the First International Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in Santa Marta, Colombia, where governments, central bankers, researchers and practitioners came together to advance a just and orderly transition beyond fossil fuels.
The Group connects current and former central bankers, supervisors, policymakers, researchers, data providers, financial institutions and civil society to develop practical analysis, tools and peer-learning opportunities aligned with central bank mandates.
Our goal is to turn growing recognition of fossil fuel dependence as a macro-financial risk into practical strategies for greater economic and financial resilience.
